A breathtaking journey from the Alps to the Mediterranean Sea.

The oldest ultra trail in Europe, a challenge like no other! Starting in Limone and crossing several Mountain passes and high ridges, straight through the Maritime Alps, before descending into Sanremo for a glorious finish line by the shimmering water of the Sea.

The Cro Trail is the Classic Alpine race of the One Hundred® World Championship, the first

global endurance trail running championship for the 100 km, 100 miles and 200 miles distances.

Held over a single 100 km mountain stage from Limone Piemonte to Sanremo, it is contested as

a flagship Seven Wonders Series event and stands as one of the three elemental races of the

Gold Slam.

The 2026 Special Edition is an invitational debut staged for a select field of athletes. Results

count toward the One Hundred® World Championship season, awarding ranking points that

carry through to the Grand Final in Brazil, where the world's best ultra endurance athletes are

crowned.

The Cro Trail (Gran Raid du Cromagnon) is organized by One Hundred Group Ltd, in

collaboration with ultrarunner Michele Graglia, under the patronage of the Municipalities of

Limone Piemonte, Triora and Sanremo, and with the technical support of the amateur sports

association Impossible Target ASD.

The race is staged in a single distance: Cro Trail 100 km, on 26–27 September 2026.

The Cro Trail, from Limone Piemonte (CN) to Sanremo (IM), is a mountain trail running race of

approximately 100 km with 4,700 m of positive elevation gain, run mainly on alpine trails.

The course includes several high altitude sections above 2,200 m, where conditions may be

difficult (cold, wind, rain, snow, fog) and at times extreme.

For the Special Edition 2026, participation is limited to 15 athletes, carefully selected and invited

by the Organization.
